The Guerlain story begins in 1828, when Pierre-François Pascal Guerlain opened his first perfume store in the lobby of Hotel Meurice in Paris. A few years later, exactly in 1853, Guerlain became a court perfume for the French court thanks to a tailor-made perfume for the French Emperor Napoleon III and his wife, at that time the legendary bee flask gets to the light and the bee becomes the symbol of the Guerlain brand. The saga continues with the opening of L'Institut Guerlain store at the famous 68, Avenue des Champ-Elysées in Paris. In collaboration with a renowned dermatologist, Guerlain presents a unique 19' massage, which is still part of Guerlain's treatment today, and it celebrates its 80th anniversary this year.
